Genesis Building Controls plays a key role in the indoor air quality (IAQ) of buildings through the installation, programming, interlocks, and calibration of HVAC controls including parkade gas detection systems.
Belimo gas monitoring systems offer precise measurement, exceptional reliability, and straightforward installation. These systems can function independently or integrate smoothly with leading Building Management Systems (BMS), including Honeywell Optimizer and Johnson Controls Facility Explorer. With a smart peer-to-peer communication protocol, users can configure and deploy a complete ventilation control system—ranging from a single monitor to multiple units across various ventilation zones. This ensures both occupant safety and comfort throughout the building.
Belimo’s gas monitors offer reliable air quality monitoring for commercial buildings, helping to maintain occupant health and wellbeing by closely tracking airborne pollutants and optimizing fresh air ventilation. This approach not only supports healthier indoor environments but also reduces unnecessary ventilation, cutting energy use and maintenance costs. Each monitor is factory calibrated and capable of detecting up to two gases simultaneously. Standard features include audible and visual alarms, as well as CAN bus communication for both standalone operation and networking of up to 32 devices. Select models come equipped with relays and analog outputs for direct ventilation control, along with BACnet MS/TP for seamless integration into Building Management Systems (BMS). Monitors can be grouped on-site for ventilation zoning within the same network, which simplifies wiring and shortens installation time. Devices are connected using a daisy chain configuration and require annual calibration.
Parkade gas detection is generally targeted to Carbon Monoxide (CO) and Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) with the addition of Propane (C3H8) in certain applications. Belimo gas detection is also available for a variety of combustible and toxic gases including: Ammonia, Methane, Propane, Hydrogen, Hydrogen Sulfide, Chlorine, Oxygen Leak, and Oxygen Depletion. Belimo Also offers an Infrared Refrigerant Monitor that is programmable for your specific application *R134A (Default), R11, R22, R23, R32, R125, R404A, R407A, R407C, R407F, R410A, R448A, R452A, R455A, R507, R513A, R1233zd, R1234yf, R1234ze, 0…2000 ppm (gas dependent).
All Belimo gas monitoring products come with a five-year warranty, except for sensor modules, which are covered for one year. Genesis warranties all installations for one year.
